One of the biggest
phone-makers in China, Vivo took the wraps off from the newest
amazing smartphone with slick design and awesome capabilities, the
Vivo Xshot. The hands enters the arena of the advanced camera-based
smartphones. The Xshot is outfitted with a 5.2-inch screen with a
resolution of 1080p. It provides an excellent performance thanks to
the Snapdragon 801 powerful chip working under the hood paired with
3GB RAM. The company is preparing a slightly more affordable model
equipped with Snapdragon 800 chip and 2GB RAM. It has 16GB of native
storage.
The Vivo Xshot is powered
by the latest platform of Google, Android 4.4 KitKat. The company has
added its own features and tweaks in the Funtouch OS user interface.
The most astonishing feature of the new flagship is its camera. Xshot
assures a 13MP Sony-made sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS. The LED
flash is dual-tone. The camera provides a two-stage shutter button
which is rather impressive for a smartphone. On the front side of the
device is set an 8MP sensor with 8MP. The main 13MP camera boasts a
wide range of capabilities such as 4K video recording. The camera app
is well stuffed with features for more fulfilling user experience and
picture quality.
The battery in the Xshot
is a 2600mAh cell. It supports all kinds of connectivity features,
including LTE.
Vivo Xshot is announced in
China. The company has not expressed plans to introduce it worldwide
for now. The more powerful version of the phone with Snapdragon 801
chip comes for $560 while the model with Snapdragon 800 costs $480.
It will be up-for-sales later this month.
