Don’t you
just love the messaging apps? Over a year ago Google launched the Hangouts app
which is the successor of the Google Talk. The first version of the app did not
have a lot to impress its users with. However Google quickly begun adding up
improvements. Not long after the Hangouts app became available for download, the
company included SMS support and merged conversations amongst other features.
Google Hangouts is one of the most popular free to use messaging apps today.
The good news for all the users of the application is that an update is coming
soon. The source of the leak is Florian Kiersch who posted screen shots of the
“Ultra Violet.” According to Kiersch this is the codename for the upgraded
version of the popular messaging app. The Ultra Violet comes with an improved
design and functionality and new features. One of them is a new extension for
Google Chrome browser. Something interesting that is noticed on the pictures is
that the Ultra Violet’s extension can be moved around on the desktop of the
user.
The upcoming features include Chat Heads-style icons for each
conversation of the user. The sources reveal that Ultra Violet is still
undergoing tests. There is no information about its launching yet. The upcoming
features are purposed for the desktop versions of the app. Google is yet to
unveil whether it is planning to include them in the Hangouts for Android as
well. Stay tuned.
few words
at the end: The messaging apps are providing more fulfilling mobile interaction
than ever.
