about the entry-level BlackBerry Z3 suggested that we will see the handset
up-for-sales in the end of April. The anticipated news is finally here – the Z3
is listed for pre-ordered in Indonesia
since Sunday. The main carriers that offer the device have reported that the
model is sold-out. It seems that the interest of BlackBerry Z3 is bigger than
expected. The model will be officially launched on 13th of May in Jakarta.
The
BlackBerry Z3 sports a 5-inch qHD screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
It works with 1.2GHz CPU Snapdragon 300 and 1.5GB RAM. The native memory is
8GB. There is a microSD slot for adding of more storage when needed. The Z3
arrives with BlackBerry 10.2.1 OS out of the box. Its main camera is with 5MP.
The secondary shooter on the front panel is with 1.1MP. The BlackBerry Z3
sports an elegant design and apart from the most of the models of the company,
it doesn’t provide a physical QWERTY keyboard. The battery of the phone is with
a capacity of 2500mAh. For now the phone will be released in Indonesia only.
It is still a mystery whether BlackBerry will launch the model in other
countries as well. The entering price of BlackBerry Z3 is $120 subsidized.
The more
exciting news for the fans of the budget phone is that the company will release
a special Jakarta Edition of the Z3. The handset will feature a sleek panel
with the name Jakarta
engraved on the backplate. The special edition will be available in limited
quantities. BlackBerry Z3 is the model that comes as a result from the
team-work of BlackBerry and Foxconn. The phone will be offered by at least
three Indonesian manufacturers – Globalteleshop, Elevenia and Jeruknipis.
