Believe or
not the time has come and LG G3 is finally here. LG kept its promise,
everything went by plan and exactly on 27th of May the mighty LG G3
entered the mobile arena. The new gladiator is heavily armored and well
prepared to meet the highest expectations of mobile users today. Its main advantages
are the powerful hardware, the modern software and the awesome design.
The size of
LG G3 is perfect for its 5.5-inch display. It comes in body 146.3 x 74.6
x 8.9 mm big and 150 grams
heavy. The material used for the manufacturing of the flagship is polycarbonate
with appealing metal finish. The panel has a coating against fingerprints. The
main rivals of LG G3 are provided with water-resistant capabilities – Samsung
Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime and Sony Xperia Z2. This is a quality that
LG G3 doesn’t have. However it makes up for it with a fascinating screen
5.5-inch in diagonal, True HD-IPS+ LCD type and QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560p. That means that that the pixel
density is the outstanding 534ppi. LG claims that the new flagship’s display
will deliver a more impressive visual experience even from the Retina screens.
The
brilliant performance of G3 is achieved thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip
with quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz. In terms of RAM and storage users will
have two possibilities – 2GB RAM paired with 16GB native memory, and 3GB RAM
with 32GB storage. The presence of microSD slot gives an easy and fast way to
expand the memory.
One of the
special features of LG G3 is its rare camera. It is a 13MP sensor with dual-LED
flash and laser auto focus. It is an extraordinary feature that provides a
faster focus for the camera and a better picture quality in general. The front
facing camera is with 2.1MP.
LG G3 runs
on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is customized with the redesigned
with flatter look and new features Optimus UI. Some of the noteworthy features
include: Smart Keyboard, Smart Security (including Knock Code etc) and Smart
Notice. The battery of the model is a 3000mAh cell. It supports wireless
charging as an optional capability. The connectivity features are provided with
full package – NFC, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 4G LTE. The colors that adorn
the phone are Silk White, Shine Gold, Burgundy Red, Metallic Black and Moon
Violet.
Since today
the LG G3 is officially launched in South Korea. It will be released
all around the globe this summer. All big mobile operators in the States have
confirmed that the phone will land on their shelves. Among the first markets in
Europe that will welcome the flagship is Finland. The LG G3 with 16GB will
cost €599. The more
capable model with 3GB/32GB costs €649. Retailers and carriers in the other countries in Europe
offer similar deals for the phone.
