BlackBerry Moves One Square Ahead with the New Flagship BlackBerry Passport

BlackBerry Passport is announced

The square-shaped BlackBerry Passport has a lot of advantages that makes it to stand out. It is new, it is high-end, it comes in a unique shape and it has the classic features of BlackBerry along with new capabilities. The model was announced earlier and it was scheduled for release in the end of September. It is official – BlackBerry Passport is landing on the markets across North America and it is coming to more countries soon. 

The plans of BlackBerry include 30 countries where the Passport will be properly introduced and ready to win the hearts of users. In the States the phone is offered in the online store of BlackBerry for $599 off-contract and by the carrier AT&T at price of $250 with two-year contract. The mobile operator Telus in Canada launched the square flagship at the promotional price of $200 off-contract eligible until 1st of October. After that the costs for the model go to $250. 

The specs of the BlackBerry Passport include a square display with 4.5-inch diagonal, 1440 x 1440 pixels resolution. A quad-core CPU clocked at 2.26GHz is integrated on the handset, working with Snapdragon 801 chip and 3GB RAM. The built-in memory is 32GB. More memory can be added via microSD slot. The BlackBerry OS 10.3 is operating on the phone which is a great advantage for the flagship with new features like BlackBerry Assistant among others.

The main camera armored on the back of the handset is with a resolution of 13MP with LED flash paired with 2MP front sensor. The QWERTY keyboard equipped in the device is different than the classic keyboards that the manufacturer usually integrates. It is touch-enabled, it has different design and its functionality enables it to work as a trackpad as well. The battery of BlackBerry Passport is with a capacity of 3450mAh. The flagship supports a rich range of connectivity possibilities, such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and LTE. The two color versions that will be offered for BlackBerry Passport are white and black.

Fresh Leak with Screenshots of the Homescreen of BlackBerry 10.3

BlackBerry is getting ready to announce the new update of its platform, the BlackBerry 10.3. The currently available BlackBerry 10.2.1 launched in the beginning of the year brought some changes in the design and a few new features. In the past few months a few leaks with screenshots of the upcoming BlackBerry 10.3 surfaced on the web. The update will bring some minor changes in the design. The platform will boast some more power saving options. The performance of the operating system will be improved as well.

The newest leak with screenshots of the platform comes from the reliable source Michael Clewley. He posted a screenshot of the homescreen of BlackBerry 10.3. The interface looks more appealing and attractive with improved design of the icons. The latest gossips suggest that the updated platform will work with an intelligent personal assistant. We expect to see improved features in the camera app and in the search options. There is still no information about the exact date for the announcement of BlackBerry 10.3. Hopefully it will happen sooner than later.

The Upcoming Entry-level BlackBerry Z3 Spotted in a Leak with Photos

BlackBerry Z3 shows up in a leak
BlackBerry Z3 was recently spotted in Malaysia posing for the camera next to its siblings BlackBerry Z30 and BlackBerry Z10. The upcoming smartphone is the first device manufactured by Foxconn as part of the five deal contract between both companies. 

According to the agreement BlackBerry and Foxconn will release models purposed for developing countries. The currently available smartphones of BlackBerry mostly run on the BachBerry 7 OS. The new handset of the company runs on BlackBerry 10 OS which is one of the advantages of the model. If we sum up the whole information about BlackBerry Z3 available until now, it is a mid-ranger with 5-inch screen. 

The size of the model is the same as the flagship of the company, the BlackBerry Z30. However the Z3 boasts much lower resolution, only 960 x 540 pixels.  The model is expected to hit the markets until the end of April. There is still not information about the price and the exact launching dates for the BlackBerry Z3. Stay tuned.
