The last
year’s flagship HTC One was accompanied by the released later HTC One Mini. In
general the small-sized device has borrowed the appearance of its bigger
sibling but in terms of specs and capabilities it is less powerful and
impressive. Will a mini version of the new flagship join the digit world? It
seems that it will! The rumors for the existence of HTC One M8 mini have been
lingering on the web since the HTC One M8 was released.
Now a new
leak coming up straight from the reliable source for digit news Weibo confirms
the HTC One M8 Mini. The site even shows a photo that depicts the alleged
device. It is “dressed” in a protective case so part of the appearance of the
model is covered. However there is no doubt that the presented smartphone looks
a lot like the HTC One M8 announced one month ago. The main difference between
the design of the mini version and the flagship is the absence of a Duo camera
on the rare panel of the One M8 Mini.
The
small-sized smartphone is rumored to feature a 4.5-inch screen with a
resolution of 720p. It works with a quad-core CPU ticking at 1.4GHz and
Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip. The excellent performance of the model is
achieved thanks to 1GB RAM as part of the configuration. It boasts 16GB storage
on board. The operating system pre-installed on the One M8 Mini is Android 4.4
KitKat. HTC has customized the platform with Sense 6.0 UI. The main camera of
the model is a rare shooter with 13MP. Rumors say that the sensor will not have
the UltraPixel technology of HTC.
The new
smartphone is expected to land on markets across the globe. The exact date for
the announcement of the One M8 Mini is not known but the growing number of
leaks definitely hints that it will soon debut in the digit world. In the US, the model
will be released by Verizon, just like the flagship HTC One M8.
