Acer
expanded its family of mid-ranged tablets with two new additions – Acer Iconia
One 7 and Acer Iconia Tab 7. Both slates will be released across the globe and
will be offered at very affordable prices.
The more
advanced new tablet is the Acer Iconia Tab 7. As the name suggests it sports a
7-inch screen IPS with a resolution of 1280 x 800p. It arrives with Android 4.4
KitKat OS pre-installed. Most of the specs of the device are identical with the
Iconia One 7. It works with a battery that can last up to 6 hours in normal
use. There are still no details available about the cameras of the device. It
supports GSP and 3G connectivity.
The Iconia
Tab 7 will be released in Africa, Europe and the Middle
East in May. The model will be introduced in South America as well
but rumors say that it will not land on the US market. The costs for the tablet
are €149.
The Acer
Iconia One 7 has appeared in few leaks in the past under the name Iconia
B1-730. The model comes with a 7-inch IPS LED-backlit screen with a resolution
of 1280 x 800p. It is powered by a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz with Intel
Atom Z2560 chip and 1GB RAM. The tablet provides a microSD slot for memory
cards. The Iconia One 7 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. An update to Android
4.4 is coming soon. The new tablet works
with a reliable battery that assures up to 7 hours in normal use. The main
camera of the device is with 5MP. It will hit the markets in Europe, Africa, and
the Middle East around the middle of May.
Later on it will be released in North America and South
America. The price of the mid-ranger is €139/$129.99.
The
mid-rangers boast decent specs and capabilities that have the full potential to
win the hearts of users. The models are outfitted in slick panels with
appealing design and compact bodies.
