HTC One mini 2 joins the team of the small-sized players on the mobile arena with great capabilities. It arrives with more modest specs than the HTC One M8 but shines with the same appearance and style as the flagship. The One mini 2 succeeds the HTC One mini released last year. The new handset sports a compact body with dimensions 137 x 65 x 10.6mm. It is slightly thicker than the One mini but in terms of design and appearance, we believe that it has the advantage before its predecessor.
The screen
of One mini 2 is with a 4.5-inch diagonal. It boasts a resolution of 720p. The
platform running on the hardware is Android 4.4.2 KitKat customized with HTC
Sense 6.0 UI. Under the hood of the phone is ticking a quad-core processor clocked
at 1.2GHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset. It comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB
of storage. Fans of HTC will enjoy the news that there is microSD slot for
expansion of the native storage. The primary camera integrated on the back of
HTC One mini 2 is a 13MP with f/2.2 aperture and BSI sensor. It delivers
excellent picture quality even though it is not the Duo camera with UltraPixel
tech equipped in HTC One M8. The front-facing shooter is also decent – 5MP,
perfect for video calls.
The
capabilities for connection of the new mini smartphone are not "mini"
at all. It has the full package of NFC support, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and
4G LTE. The battery of the phone will not disappoint you. It arrives with
2100mAh cell. The color options available for the model are similar to the
shells of HTC One M8. It is outfitted in Glacial Silver, Amber Gold and
Gunmetal Gray. The phone is landing on the markets in the Middle East, Asia
Pacific, Europe and North America in June. The
price of the model is around €470 unlocked.
