Windows 8.1-powered Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet Debuts in NYC


Awhile ago Microsoft made the hint that it will introduce a small-sized tablet to the series Surface. Therefore when the company announced the “Surface” event scheduled for 20th of May all the clues were pointing that the Microsoft Surface mini will enter the tablets’ arena. 
The leaks and the rumors before the 20th of May revealed a bit more about the specs of the upcoming slate and another very interesting thing – a new high-end tablet that will join the Surface family. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is the successor of the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. The new model was the sole star at the event that took place in NYC, US yesterday. There is still no information when the Surface mini will be introduced in the digit world. We will wait and see.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 runs on Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. It sports a 12-inch display with ClearType tech. It boasts a resolution of 1440x2160p and aspect ration of 3:2. The model stands out with very slim body only 9.1mm thick and relatively light panel – 800 grams. The 5 announced variants of the Surface Pro 3 are powered by Intel i3, i5 and i7 chipsets and different amount of RAM and native memory.

It arrives with a 5MP on the back and VGA camera on the front panel. The slate has microSD slot for expansion of the storage. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is available for pre-orders. It is scheduled for launch in the US on 20th of June. The tablet will land on the global markets later in the summer. The slate arrives with a Surface Pen provided as part of the package. The Type Cover accessory will bring you a similar experience to laptop.
