The secret tweak is shared from the guys of Wired. They have explored various tricks for improving the speed of the Google Chrome browser.

The final result shows that the most effective boosting of the speed requires simple changing of the settings in the Google Chrome mobile browser. The idea is to change the memory that the app uses. The tweak is shared by the Reddit user erythrocytes64. What you need to do is:

  1. Open a new Chrome tab.

  2. Type: “chrome://flags/#max-tiles-for-interest-area” instead of web address. You are supposed to see a menu that will pop up

  3. Select 512 instead the default setting of 128. The user recommends to choose 256 if you are using an older smartphone.



  4. The last step is to tap the Relaunch now option. This step will restart your browser and you will enjoy much faster and fulfilling browser experience and improved scrolling.
