Just weeks
ago Samsung took the wraps off from its first model smart band, the advanced
fitness tracker Samsung Gear Fit. The gadget boasts a lot of capabilities and
it is packed with health-related features. It comes with AMOLED screen and it
is compatible with a wide range Android-running handsets and tablets. The only
critic towards the smartband is the absence of portrait mode in the user
interface.
The
horizontal-only option in the Gear Fit seemed very uncomfortable for users.
Fortunately this issue with the device will be forgotten before it even hits
the markets. The launch date of the wrist band is scheduled for 11th
of April. Samsung has rolled-out an update of the UI that has fixed the
problem. As we can see from the photos presented by the manufacturer, the Gear
Fit supports vertical mode as well.
The
smartband will be officially launched along with the other new additions of the
company, the smartwatch Samsung Gear 2 and the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5.
