We have
been sharing rumors, exploring leaks, making predictions and expressing
expectations about the upcoming flagship of Huawei and it is finally here. Meet
the Ascend P7 aka the younger brother and the better version of the Huawei
Ascend P6. The new model grabs attention with is elegant design outfitted in
pink, white and black. It makes an impression with its extraordinary panel with
glass back side – Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to be exact. There is a lot to say
about the new flagship. It features a 5-inch IPS LCD screen which is relatively
smaller display compared to most of the flagships on the market today. The
resolution of the new star of Huawei is 1080p. Just like the back plate, the
front is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The new
phone is an Android device. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKa OS with the Huawei
user interface Emotion, version 2.3. You will find plenty of applications and
features for work and entertainment.
Huawei has
integrated its own chip in the processor. The Ascend P7 wrks with a quad-core
CPU with HiSilicon Kirin 910 chipset ticking at 1.8GH. There are 2GB RAM in the heart of the phone
and Mali
450GPU. The provided internal memory is not a lot – only 16GB but fortunately Huawei
has assured a microSD slot in the device for expansion.
Camera-wise
the Huawei Ascend P7 is armored with a pair of two great cameras. The primary sensor
is a 13MP on the back with LED flash, f2.0 aperture and 5 elements lens. It is
a Sony-made sensor. On the front side of the phone stands an 8MP sensor with
5-element lens. The camera is provided with abundance of extraordinary features
for the selfie-lovers, including the possibility to take a groufie if you are
willing to include more people in the shot and snap it in a panorama mode.
The Ascend
P7 assures support for Wi-Fi, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and 4G LTE. The
battery of the phone is a cell with 2500mAh capacity. The phone will be
officially released this month, ready to hit markets worldwide. The price is
expected to be around €450
(equal to $625).
