Verizon Released the Rugged Kyocera Brigadier with Sapphire Shield and the Mid-Ranger LG G Vista

Back in April the leak with the rugged smartphone Kyocera Brigadier along with the HTC One M8 in red heading to Verizon drew attention. In the last week more rumors about the extraordinary handset Brigadier surfaced on the web revealing that the smartphone is equipped with a sapphire display. This time gossips turned out to be true. Verizon officially welcomed two new handsets with mid-ranged specs – the rugged Kyocera Brigadier aka the first smartphone with sapphire screen and the LG G Vista aka LG G Pro 2 Lite.
The phone was an object of rumors and speculations since the first hints for its existing that appeared some weeks ago.  

The model comes with a 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The processor that is ticking in the gut of the phablet is a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU along with 1.5GB RAM. The native memory is 8GB and it is expandable which is good news keeping in mind users can actually use less than 4GB of the available storage out-of-the-box. The platform running on the G Vista is Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Users will enjoy abundance of extra features, including Knock Code, Dual Window etc. The pair of camera that is installed in the device includes a 1.3MP front sensor and an 8MP camera on the back. It has a large 3200mAh battery under the hood. Verizon offers the LG G Vista for $99.99 tied with two year contract. Another possibility for buying the phablet is with 20 equal monthly payments of $19.99 via the Verizon Edge. The unlocked smartphone is available for $399.99. 

The announcement of the Kyocera Brigadier is big news in the digit world. In terms of specs the model is packed with mid-ranged capabilities, just as the rumors from April suggested. It is powered by a quad-core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip and 2GB RAM. The storage assured in the device is 16GB and there is a microSD slot for additional memory. It has an 8MP camera on the backplate and 2MP camera on the face panel. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The battery of the phone is a 3100mAh cell. The advantages of the Brigadier are its rugged water- and dust-resistant panel and its Sapphire Shield display. It is resistant to dust, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity and etc and fulfills the criteria for resistance of MilSpec 810G.

The screen is with 4.5-inch diagonal, HD. It can be used with gloves or wet hands. Among the extra features and capabilities of the device are the Smart Sonic Receiver and the EcoMode. It supports LTE. Verizon offers the Kyocera Brigadier at the same price and with the same plans as LG G Vista.
