Motorola Introduces the New Flagship, the New Mid-Ranger and its First Smartwatch

New Motorola Moto X enters the digit world

The first half of September is full of interesting events. IFA is the most significant event for this time of the year, but not all companies choose the expo to make their announcements. Motorola held a big event on the US dedicated to four new devices coming in the digit world – Motorola Moto X (2014), Motorola Moto G (2014), Motorola Moto 360 and the Motorola Buds.

The new Moto X is the most advanced smartphone of the company until now. It boasts a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen, 1080p resolution. Exquisite colors and fulfilling visual experience users will enjoy. The fast and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip with quad-core 2.5GHz CPU is paired with 2GB RAM for brilliant performance. The new Moto X is provided with two options for storage – 16GB and 32GB via the Moto Maker customization tool. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat that comes in almost pure version. Gesture controls are among the biggest improvements in the phone compared to its predecessor. The main camera of the phone is with 13MP resolution and impressive abundance of features. The camera for video calls has 2MP resolution. Moto Maker offers a great choice of customization options, especially back covers made from different materials. The new Moto X arrives with 2300mAh battery. It is coming to AT&T and Verizon in the States. Later on it will land on the shelves of more retailers in the country, Europe, Latin America and Asia. 

Motorola Moto X (2014) is introduced

Motorola Moto G was very well welcomed by the audience last year. Therefore the expectations towards the new Moto G aka Moto G (2014) are pretty high. Here it comes the device officially presented along with its high-end sibling and the first smartwatch of the company. Sounds like a challenge to stand out at the debut event? The phone definitely has a lot to offer to its users. It is equipped with a 5-inch 720p screen. It works with silicon with four cores and Snapdragon 400 chip. There is 1GB RAM and either 8GB or 16GB storage on board. Just like its predecessor the new Moto G is powered by almost vanilla Android and regular updates are promised by Motorola. The main camera is improved since the snapper in the Moto G and here it is 8MP rare sensor. On the front lies a 2MP camera for video chats, selfies etc. It has microSD slot and dual front speakers on board among other goodies. The phone is powered by 2070mAh battery.

Motorola Moto 360 is the first smartwatch of Motorola. It has two main characteristics – round face and Android Wear platform. The gadget is provided with a 1.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 290 x 320p. It works with TI OMAP 3 CPU with 512MB RAM. The smartwatch brings 4GB internal memory which should be enough for a wearable gadget. The battery in the water-resistant IP67 case of the Moto 360 is with 320mAh capacity. What can the smartwatch do? Displaying notifications, taking or declining calls, support for voice commands are a few of its capabilities. Moto 360 comes with a black leather strap and with two metal options.
