Are you
fond of ultra, really ultra-thin smartphones? If yes, you probably know which
device is proudly called “the world’s thinnest smartphone” – the Gionee Elife
S5.1. The phone is outfitted with 5.1mm slim panel. The interest towards
ultra-thin devices is obviously growing; therefore it is not a surprise that a
new handset is ready to claim the title from Elife S5.1.
The manufacturer Vivo will
present a phone that is only 3.8mm thick. The mystery model was spotted in a
leak with photos, showing its profile and elegant silhouette. The surfaced images show the handset posing
for the camera next to either iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S. The difference in the
panels is significant – the Apple’s flagships are 7.6mm slim which is double
more than the 3.8mm thin body of the upcoming Vivo device.
For now there isn’t more
information about the specs and the capabilities of the unannounced model. The
name and the availability of the new addition of Vivo are yet to be revealed.
If the leak turns out to be true, this means that the bar is raised pretty high
for the upcoming phones that would claim the title for the slimmest smartphone.
few words
at the end: Are the paper-thin smartphones and tablets more appealing and
convenient than the more bulky devices? I would love to hear your opinion.
