ASUS presented
a new entry-level handset in Philippines.
The phone is more modest version of the ZenFone 5 released in spring. The new
model is dubbed ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite. It is armored with a 5-inch screen IPS
with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.
The platform running on the phone is
Android 4.4 KitKat customized with ZenUI of ASUS. The silicon integrated in the
ZenFone 5 Lite is dual-core clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with 1GB RAM. The
chipset in the configuration is Intel Atom Z2520. On the rare panel of the entry-level
phone is provided a 8MP snapper with LED flash. There is a 0.3MP camera on the
front of ZenFone 5 Lite.
The connectivity features that are supported by the
model are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. It is outfitted with a
bigger battery than the original ZenFone 5; it is with a capacity of 2500mAh. The
new phone is a bit thicker and slightly heavier than its sibling. It measures 148.2
x 72.8 x 10.8cm, 160 grams of
weight. The ZenFone 5 Lite will hit the markets in the country next week. It
costs PHP 5595 (around $124) unlocked. The available color options for the
phone are Pearl White, Charcoal Black and Cherry Red.
