Samsung at IFA 2014 II – the Extraordinary Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Turns Heads

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge introduced

IFA once again did not disappoint even the highest expectations of the tech enthusiasts and fans of innovative mobile devices. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge came as a nice surprise. The Korean manufacturer managed to keep the existence of the extraordinary phablet in secret.

What is so special about the Galaxy Note Edge?

It has an edgy design – the large-sized smartphone boasts a curved display on the right side that can work completely separately from the main screen. The advantages of the curve seem to be a lot. There is no doubt that developers will make the best of it and we will wait and see how users will accept it. It is hard to put in words how the curves side of Galaxy Note Edge works in real. Therefore, I recommend watching the video below where the guys from…. are showing the model in work. Overall the new device is based on Galaxy Note 4 and most of the specs of the original phablet are integrated in the curvy smartphone as well. It comes with a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED QHD glass. It is smaller than the display of Galaxy Note 4 but let’s not forget the curve. It actually increases the screen with 160p.

The CPU ticking under the hood is either a quad-core with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip clocked at 2.5GHz or octa-core Exynos 5433 with 3GB RAM and 32GB native memory (expandable). The rare camera is the same 16MP sensor with Smart OIS paired with 3.7MP front snapper. The software running on the model is Android 4.4 KitKat. Just like the original device it is packed with UV sensor and heart-rate sensor. There is an S Pen stylus in the package. It works with a 3000mAh cell under the hood. The Galaxy Note Edge is expected to be available for purchase in the end of the year.

few words at end: Galaxy Note Edge is the new attempt of Samsung after Galaxy Round to grab the interest of users who are open to new concepts. How do you like the idea of bringing more “edge” in your day?
