Fully Charged Battery for Less Than a Minute – the Prototype of StoreDot

StoreDot charger has unique capabilities
The modern mobile devices work with chargers of the battery that manage to charge them really fast. However even the best of the chargers available today cannot beat the record of the prototype accessory of the Israel-based company StoreDot. Believe it or not, the new charger demonstrated in a video can fully charge the battery of a smartphone for less than a minute. The demonstration presents the StoreDot charger in action that succeeds to charge to 100% (up from 27%) the battery of Samsung Galaxy S3. Amazing, isn’t it!

The extraordinary accessory works with an advanced technology dubbed Nanodots. It consists of bio-organic nanocrystals that have magnificent energy storage possibilities. The Nanodots technology has a huge potential. As the company reveals the ultra-fast charging capabilities are only the tip of the iceberg. We expect to see the technology integrated in flexible displays and working with imaging sensors and used for data storage in the near future. The size of the presented prototype of the charger is a bit bulky. Hopefully the company will manage to decrease the dimensions of the accessory to make it more convenient for everyday use. The model is scheduled for production in 2016.
