BLU is having the busiest time in the last weeks with the releasing the BLU Studio 5.0 for T-Mobile
and working on the Windows Phone-powered models that are expected to be
announced soon. A new mid-ranger running on the Google’s platform is joining
the big family of BLU.
Meet the
BLU Life Pure XL handset with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p. It runs
on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. The operating system is a bit outdated
compared to the newest models of rival companies. However BLU promises to
upgrade the model with Android 4.4 KitKat real soon, so don’t fret friends.
The Life
Pure XL works with a quad-core CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip under the
hood. Among the biggest advantages of the mid-ranger is its 16MP rare camera
with Largan M8 lens and 1/2.3-inch sensor. The front camera is also great for a
mid-ranger, an 8MP sensor which will work just amazing for selfies. The BLU
Life Pure XL is armored with a 2500mAh battery which is the average for this
size and category phones on the market today.
Perhaps the
most disappointing thing about the new model of BLU is the lack of LTE
connectivity. It supports HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC.
The phone
is available since today, 2nd of May in Amazon. It is released with
two versions. The L260 variant that features 32GB storage and 3GB RAM (for
$399). The L259 will be available on 9th of May. It arrives with
16GB native memory and 2GB RAM at price of $349. The Life Pure XL Life can be
purchased in black, white, red and blue.
